Affecting Factors for Job Stress and Client Service of Estheticians in the Medical Beauty Industry
Kim Moon-Joo

Abstract
Purpose: This study purposed to investigate efficient operating measures for the correlation between the existence of work-related stress and the quality of client service offered by aestheticians in the medical beauty industry.

Method: To accomplish this objective, a literature review was performed and a questionnaire survey was administered. Random sampling was conducted in the Seoul and Gyeonggi area in July 2017 and 502 of a total of 600 questionnaires were analyzed using the statistical package for the social sciences (SPSS) 19.0. Frequency, reliability, factor, and multiple regression analyses were conducted to accomplish the examination.

Results: With regard to the correlation between job stress and client service, when job stress is higher as a factor of the working environment, client service is lower. Client service is also poorer when an increased perception of job stress occurs as a personal factor. The level of client service is higher when job stress is lower. Similarly, the levels of an aesthetician¡¯s confidence and responsiveness are found to be superior along with raised levels of client service and with reduced levels of job stress.

Conclusion: It is necessary to improve the work environment of hospitals and to initiate programs to reduce job stress.
